I had a great session in Millennium Park with this adorable family! The Lurie Garden is one of my favorite spots in the city and has such a great variety of backdrops. I'll be seeing this little lady again in six months for her first birthday!

Baby Julia- Chicago Six Month Photo Session

I have yet to meet a difficult 6-month old, and Miss Julia was just a smiley, adorable dream. I met this little lady when she was just a week old and it was such a pleasure to see this family again! We met at the lovely Women's Garden in the South Loop and besides the loud and distracting lawn mowers, it was the perfect photo shoot location. I am so excited to see how she grows in the coming months and I will be seeing her again for her first birthday photo shoot, can't wait!

Baby Whitney- Tiny Footprints Project NICU Portrait

I have been fortunate to meet many wonderful families in Chicago and photograph so many newborns, but whenever I work with The Tiny Footprints Project, I am reminded again just how truly precious these little lives are. Whitney came into the world 10 weeks early and had to do a bit of fighting in the NICU before she was finally cleared to go home (yay!) 

For any photographers looking to volunteer with The Tiny Footprints Project, I highly recommend signing up! And for anyone working in hospitals or know someone who has given birth to a premie, please spread the word about this awesome organization that provides complimentary in-hospital portrait sessions and all digital images to parents with babies in the NICU.

Happy Birthday, Charlotte! - Chicago Baby Photographer

Oh my goodness, this little girl was so adorable and rocked her cake smash session! She was a bit shy at first, but after some cuddles from mom and dad (and a little snack break) she was all smiles and giggles. Charlotte was not very interested in eating her cake, and when we put her little fingers in the frosting she was NOT happy to have messy hands. She is obviously fitting into her role as the princess very well! Happy first birthday, Charlotte! I cannot wait to see you again this fall for your mini session :-)

Oh, this sweet girl was so perfect during her session! She slept like a dream and how precious are those cheeks?? I absolutely love being a newborn photographer in the Chicago area as it not only allows me to meet wonderful people, but I also get to travel to new neighborhoods and cities every week. Hello, Zelda! - Chicago Newborn & Maternity Portraits

I met Corri and Spiro back in June for their maternity session on North Ave Beach, and had such a FUN time! They brought along their two furbabies, Emma & Harley and everyone was anticipating Baby Z's arrival. I love when couples just click and can have fun together, and I can take adorable candid photos of them without much direction.

                       
I was so excited to see Corri after the arrival of Baby Zelda. She easily slipped into the role of being a mom, and it was clear that Zelda stole her heart right away. Of course we had to take some shots in the amazing nursery and coordinated some props with her adorable lilac decor. Eliana has always been such a little bundle of joy (and energy). This photo shoot was full of smiles and laughter and I loved every minute of it. Hello Baby Sachi! - Chicago Newborn Photography

I loved everything about this newborn portrait session. From the soft neutral tones and that sweet little face, Sachi was the perfect newborn model to represent my photography style. She is the first image you see when you visit Hannah Drews Photography and I loved using more of the amazing headbands from Vanilla Lullaby. Welcome Baby Ava! - Chicago Newborn Photography

I really love being a newborn photographer in Chicago. I am able to meet so many lovely people and snuggle so many adorable newborn babies. It really is the best job! Baby Ava was such a little sweetheart and was oh so curly and squishy :-) At the beginning of the session I let her get cozy and comfortable, letting her stretch her little arms out. She loved being swaddled up in the basket and probably would have slept like that for hours. It is always great to be able to mix in some lifestyle portraits incorporating the whole family (furry children included) and we were able to get some great shots in the master bedroom as well as Ava's adorable nursery. Welcome Baby Lily! - Chicago Newborn Portraits

I am so excited that Lily's parents decided to purchase a First Year Collection! I will get to see this little lady grow over the coming year, and with sessions at 3, 6, and 12-months, her family will have a wonderful collection of portraits documenting her first year of life. Lily has a wonderful big brother who was a little reluctant to pose with her during her newborn session. He was much more interested in watching the boats and trains go by out the window, and I don't blame him! Newborn sessions can be long and tiring, especially for a 2-year old! I bet that when I see them again in a couple months they will be best of pals :-)
